Well done, Mike! thumbup1.gif

Any ideas as to what sort of figures we're looking at for the donations? I suspect there ought to be a minimum (does Paypal charge you per transaction?).

Yes there is a min donation set for full cover areas ,and yes they do charge a small fee charge .
There is a donation-ware page on the site you can visit that has the full scenery and paypal donate button with all info and charges .

Yeah i am still working on the site and probably will for the next couple of weeks/months you will see these other links buttons getting functions to them , my reasons behind going live now is to get scenery to the user /NZers quickly to enjoy ..
At the moment im having a little teething problem with the full donation Christchurch secure download links and my web support have gone to bed ,just one of those days that will all be sorted out when the sun comes up ..
all other links to download seem to work fine so far just one giving me grief..

Ditto sad.gif

Edit- Mike, I think you should make it more clear that it is up to the user to decide whether they want to download without donating or download with a donation- I was a bit confused by seeing the same downloads on each page. Perhaps just a bit of text at the top of each to let users know?

Agreed - also maybe a rough indication of donation amount - somewhere *before* you click on the PayPal link. I see that the amount is set to US$9.95 - which is around NZ$14 (ie. a bargain!). Also - I can't see a way of changing the amount <??>. So ... if you can't donate more than that amount, it's not so much "donation-ware" ... more a regular price.

On another note - some of your pages include a lot of text in image files. This text won't be searchable by any search site (every bit helps!) - and it'll hard for you to edit. eg. "hobbiests" needs to be "hobbyists" winkyy.gif

EDIT: I didn't mean to come over as critical or ungrateful - just trying to help!!

Yeah no problem im not taking anything to heart this week i knew there would be teething problems .
There is a set donation of $9.95 USD for the full areas cover Versions, in some case upto 2000 sq miles "this is a very fair amount ", but also there is a large chuck of demo/freeware of the same area in some cases up to 320 sq miles ,
With over 8000+ hits already to the site im sure alot of people are enjoying there new parts of New Zealand ,i actually haven't even put a robot/meta in yet , the rest of the world is just waking now so more hits and lots of freeware and donation-ware scenerys being downloaded at high speed .. winkyy.gif
The tabs i am custom making for the site are different to other flightsim sites "Kinda what i was wanting ",and more what i like looking at ,it will only get better as i slowly build the site up and fix things brought to my attention .no biggy and thank you

Im truly doing my best at this and seeing i had no site 2 weeks ago including the scenery available, i kinda think i should pat myself on the back more ..

Love the site Mike, looking great.

One small comment......Do you need a "go back" tag from the Donationware Page...?

Doesn't seem to be any way back to the Home Page.....or is that the idea...?

If there is, and I've missed it, give me a backhander...

Cheers, Bazza.

No the donation page is secure for paypal ,you will notice it opens up in a new tab and you can just flick back to the main tab when you close the other ,i did look in this but its just the way it is for the paypal functions ..
thanks for the support it will be well worth it in the long run for all winkyy.gif
