Seasprite

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Postby SeanTK » Tue Jul 06, 2010 8:20 am

I am thinking about purchasing Alphasim's Kaman SH-2F/G "Seasprite" for FS2004/FSX.

I figured a few people here probably have it (due to a certain included livery) and I am wondering what your opinions are of the addon.

Pros, cons, and general statements on the addon would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Sean

It very typical Alphasim as far as cockpit operations - not much working switch,s , it is slow in picking up textures internal sbut there is a fix done for FSX by Adrian Brausch not sure it works in FS9 , externally the models are great .

Lot of info in the threads, but retrospectively I wouldn't have wasted my money on it, disappointing for a variety of reasons, most of which are in line with those already mentioned, including basic stuff like no movement in the collective and a useless VC. Hardly ever use it which is my greatest endorsement for it.... mad.gif

Well, I bought it, and I'm happy with it. A few little niggles are still present, such as erroneous warning lights for generator usage and hydraulics, but other than that, I think it's great.

"Scubcutter", I'm getting full and accurate collective and cyclic movement. Make sure your hydraulic actuator switch on the overhead is on. (unfortunately there is no animation for the switch, but when it's on, you'll get full movement.)
