North Shore Aerodrome

Read and report on flightsim developers progress of upcoming or completed products

Postby Nzeddy » Tue Jun 01, 2010 9:05 pm

North Shore Aerodrome is nearly finished.

This scenery addon is an afcad improvement featuring more and improved taxiways, runways, parking, fuel parking, buildings, cars, people, fences, static aircraft etc.

This will work with default FSX scenery but was mainly to fit in Real NZ Supercity X as the default NZNE wasn't that good.

Here's a little preview screenshot of what it looks like being developed (for those who are interested).

No release date as yet.

Brilliant!!!! I've visited NZNE a fair few times lately (since I got my shiny new Islander) and I must say it's a very depressing experience! Really looking forward to this - and I'm also glad that it fits in with Supercity.

So how's about NZWP? laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif ... next!!

Looking at ADE, it's almost identical to the Flight1 AFX (I stupidly bought) .. except that I can't place objects in it like you can in ADE.

North Shore is nearly done. Just need to fix up some taxiways, apons and buildings then finish the readme file.

When all that is finish (sometime tonight or this Monday) then it should be on Avsim, Flightsim.com and maybe Flightsim.co.nz. thumbup1.gif

In the meantime, you can pre-order North Shore at the discounted price of $10 NZD at my website! You save $15!
More information here.

Great! I just registered smile.gif ... couldn't find a pre-order link [yet] though ... I expect you're still building the site though!

Bad news. I have found a exclude problem with NZNE in ADE. Hopefully it'll be fixed sometime this week. It was supposed to be finished this Monday... unsure.gif

Sorry for the delay! sad.gif

For my next airports, Im not going to give any release dates from now on. I've learned my lesson. ninja.gif

Hahaha! To be honest - we've all waited *years* for decent NZ airports for FSX, so a few weeks - even months - won't make much difference! Me just playing around with the odd parking slots and taxiways for the stock NZAA took long enough - it's fiddly work!! Certainly makes you really appreciate the scale of the pure labour involved in producing scenery - commercial or freeware. I'm amazed we even get it in our lifetime laugh.gif
