Just uploaded to my website, and available for download,.... Nelson Regional Airport, NZNS.

Welcome to Nelson Regional Airport, located in the North-Western part of the top of the South Island of New Zealand.
The airport averages 90 aircraft movements every day, with a plane taking off or landing every 4.5 minutes during scheduled hours.
Approximately 1.2 million people use the Nelson Airport terminal every year.
Almost 50 percent of travellers through the airport are business people.
Nelson is home to 17 aeronautical and support industries, and has restricted International Airport status.
This status was obtained in 2006, in particular to facilitate small private jets.

A few quick pics snapped off during the building of the scenery...............

POA (among other oddball aircraft) is part of a hotch-potch mix of AI i use for testing out AFCADs and aircraft movements around airports.
NOA (NZ Post F27) had just departed before i snapped the pic.

No worries. I'm sure Captain R approves of his last command still being around winkyy.gif
NAO was possibly through Nelson not so long ago while they were resealing the runway at NZWB

Doesn't work in FSX due to use of DXT1 textures that use transparency sad.gif The problematic textures seem to be the wired 6ft fence and most of the trees (one sided - rotate to user trees). It would probably be ok if using SP1. Hmmm..... Looks great in FS9 though!

Looks good Lawrie, looking forward to download (though will be a few more days before I get the time to try it out, hate it when work gets in the way!). rolleyes.gif

Yes, FSX has a problem with FS9 trees, and some FS9 transparancy textures.
Try temporarily removing the following BGL files from Nelson's "Scenery" folder, and see how you get on,...........

NS_GenTre.bgl
NZNS_AirNlsSecFce.bgl
NZNS_BckHngSecFce.bgl
NZNS_CpkSecFce.bgl
NZNS_GenTre.bgl
NZNS_TrmFrtFce.bgl
NZNS_TrmTre.bgl
NZNS_TrmWkyFce.bgl

That will remove all the mesh fences, and all FS9 type trees from the scenery.
Id be interested to see what it looks like in FSX. Quite a number of people have had success in converting most of my FS9 sceneries to FSX.
A large number of them have even been converted for use in X-Plane !

I very quickly tried it in FSX as mentioned in your previous post, deleting those files mentioned, along with BdyFce just in case.

After adding the two new Sidney Schwartz files to my SOL it looks pretty well spot-on to me. I haven't had a chance yet
to have a full "shufti" but if anything is missing it's pretty immaterial. As a means of replacing the default Nelson I can't see
any reason why this shouldn't be a succesful addon. Strangely enough there still seem to be plenty of trees and greenery around.

If you're interested in having a useable Nelson, give it a go.

Some issues with terrain level and apron vehicles facing the wrong way. Definitely could do with the fence and trees to pad it out.

Hmmm,........ in general, it doesnt look too bad in FSX.
FSX default object libraries have a lot of the same objects as FS9, but for some reason, FSX displays them at a 90 degree angle to the way the objects were placed in FS9, hence the luggage tractors facing the wrong way.
Remove the following BGL file and the apron vehicles will be gone,.............

NZNS_AptVeh.bgl

You can always place your own trees and fences, using a suitable Object Placement tool for FSX, as others have done.
