Naki ... thats all ohmy.gif .... smile.gif ... I this aircraft already , the Boeing B17 Flying Fortress from A2A , good fourteen months , it was good ...... along comes ACCUSIM .. this not only changed the aircraft details , a few surprises , the textures the and graphics but enchanced the operation and realism but it flew as if you have a crew if you cant handle the work load .

Real Nice, Shot bro!
So is this the add-on pack to the original Carendo 185?
They look pretty much the same except the GPS?

Agreed!!
I do love my Carenado planes of course they are beautiful, however...if you want all that carenado offers AND a good realistic (ultra realistic) experience then accusim is miles ahead.
I already have the J-3 and B-17 in my hangar, they are just great!
BTW cool screenies!! Thanks for sharing

Thanks guys..I dont have any accusim a/c yet...waiting for a Mustang, Spitfire or Kittyhawk or perhaps a Corsair or some grunty bush plane like a Beaver then I might bite...

Ive just got the base 185 pack as most 185s in NZ are fairly standard and the base pack had a NZ rego. All the Carenado 185s including the bush pack have the GPS - you can click a spot in the window to make it appear.

Make sure you get the updated FDE patch from the Carenado website. Really improves the feel of this old girl.

I agree Paul.....its a nice aircraft . Carenado have been getting funding from me for years.....its all good stuff. And their support (if needed) is amazing, unlike some of the other big retailers.
Nice shots thumbup1.gif

Great looking little aircraft ... nice screenshots ... and a great NZ repaint!

On question for you though ... does it have ILS/glideslope instrumentation? I bought FSFlying School (marvellous program) - but you really need to have an a/c that can do ILS approaches. The default FSX C172 has it, but for some reason I find it too twitchy and hard to control, so I keep losing points!

well, the Mustang should be next, and there is a Tomahawk accusim in the pipeline too, and a Spit!

But you are missing out on something though...

My top-5 aircraft include the 3 I have with accusim, the Cub, the P-47 and the B-17. Very little comes close...
( I never bought the 377, it is just SO ugly...)

and what are the other two you may ask?

The WBS Mustang, simply for its looks, and hey, it's a Mustang, and the Aerosoft PBY, of which has accusim-like engine characteristics, god, I've blown so many engines on this one, but I'm getting there...
It is so much more fun if you can destroy the engine, it's actually hard to explain....
Just the fact that you have to pay attention!

Oh, did I mention I liked your shots??

All my repaints for MSFS can be found on flightsim.to
Older repaints for FS9, FSX and P3D are on avsim
More screenshots can be found here

Jan , Jan , Jan .... I just don,t no why ... rolleyes.gif ... I think Scott would upset with you unsure.gif ..... Ok yes! .. She its not the most pretty but its the most busy , the 47 and 17 are child,s play compared and i do have to admit the Aerosoft PBY is a one stop complete package and so dang versatile cool.gif

Thanks for the HU...I thought as I was late in my purchase the FDE patch came with it ...Ive found the FDE patch over at a Bush pilots site (the Carenado site was down) and its quite difefrent than the default and I like it more than the default

Ahhh, to tell you the truth I am not sure as its not the sort of plane I would try ILS approaches in and I haven't deleved into the instrumentation in detail yet as I have ben too busy getting into back country strips..it has a basic Cessna autopilot

If only A2A would bring out a Spitfire MkIX or maybe a V and a P-40E/M or N. For me a P51D Mustang is a possibility. I am pretty sure A2A are only bringing out a P-40B/C and a Spitfire Mk I which are the wrong marks to spark my interest. They are a bit pricey (I guess they are worth it) and I'm usually a bit time limited for my flights - but when they bring out an aircraft I really like I will be buying. ..
The Catalina also looks tempting...maybe when they have a sale.

You can stuff the engine (although it requires some ham fisted flying) in the L-39...which is my main warbird at the moment.

I'm reviewing this right now for flightsim.com can anyone tell me how to get the GPS to be on that mounting as in the screenshots? When I press shift+3 it just appars as a floating window as normal.

Chappy , The best place to view your GPS is within your cockpit , if you are running FS9 or X to get a 2D cockpit simply Shift + 1 .. FSX may not come with the 2D but this is best place to start and keep your bearings

In the lower left corner of the aircraft's windscreen where the GPS is suppose to be located - mouse click and the GPS will appear..I also found out the other day that the yokes can made to disappear by clicking at the yokes base.
