Most aircraft types flown by 1 pilot?

While I was watching the Scrap heap challenge that pitted the UK, France &
the US against each other to build an aircraft (Powered flight centenary
prog) the US pilot said this was his 96th aircrft type he had flown. I was
wondering if it is know who if anyone has the record for most aircraft types
& how many types have the pilots here flown?

Couldn't think of his name for a while, and was hunting through the usual suspects - Bill Gunston etc.

Note that the list only contains the base model... Spitfire is mentioned, but not Seafire, Spiteful, Seafang etc

Dunno Paul, it mentions a C177 Cardinal... even though it has a different model designation I'm sure they flew under the C172 type certificate until quite late in the production run being that it started out as the next evolution of the Skyhawk

Nope different aircraft and difffrent type cert...Cessna 150 is there though...and only three Boeings a Super Fortress, Fortress and a Chinook
