I couldn't work it out from the site either. But got it while it was cheap ... just in case!!! A bit of "Trademe Fever" I think!

Anyone here work out what the Block B / Block F thing is all about?

ok i will try to explain it as to how i think it works, block B was the orginal release for fs9 this was the base pack that included the vc, but not fully functioning systems, you then brought upgrade blocks, the block F uograded the systems in the a/c, thankfully cs went away from this system and no is much easier to understand, the upgrade i belive is to upgrade the FS9 block B to the FSX block F (but don't quote me on that one, i have always brought the pro line, which was more expensive, but cheaper than buying the blocks)

hope this is a little bit of help

Jason, I think what you say sounds about right - though I have to say that the CS site has often confused the hell out of me.

Even now, I couldn't see a way of buying the 757 as a "Pro Line". I can only see the four 757 products as separate items.

I seem to remember my confusion last year was that what you saw on the online store was different to the way things were laid out on the site itself (or you couldn't see prices until you actually clicked on the Paypal option). Something like that, anyway.

So ... any FS9 users here want to avail themselves to a Block F - seeing as mine is now redundant?

Even more confusing when you click on the Block F and it takes you to the Pro Line page dry.gif

Does the FMC/FMS work correctly on the CaptianSim? The other day I tried to do a flight online in the CaptainSim 757 with my updated AIRAC, but the L-Nav would not engage. The button lit up, but didn't follow the route. Very annoying.

I installed the 4.4 update and gave it test. No problems at all with LNAV, though I had a bit of trouble with VNAV coming back on occasionally.
EDIT: Were you within a certain distance/heading of the route when you engaged? You have to be fairly close heading-wise and laterally.

Yes I was close.

Bought the 767, same problem. I'm wondering if it's something I have installed?

Just took out a support ticket so it will be interesting to hear their response. The autopilot in general doesn't work. Here's what I told them:

QUOTE
Also happens with 757

Autopilot in general doesn't seem to work. Heading, altitude, LNAV, VNAV, ILS (entered in FMS and in VOR/DME window), Speed
Aircraft does not turn, just flies straight. However flight director points and moves to where it should be going.
Have aligned IRS, done all checks, configured FMS
The button lights illuminate, but plane doesn't turn or climb/descend.

Help would be greatly appreciated, cannot use it for my desired purpose of Vatsim flying
Thank you[/quote]

I brought the 727 and the 767 , I do have the autopilot operational , and can turn any direction , just a case of turning everything on and getting familar with , there are a few thing s i have not played around with , i fly using maps .changing course when required via the NDB/VOR and radio .

CS B767-300 FSX users: I've added the two excellent ANZ repaints by Carl Hudson to the NZFSIM site:
Standard Version
Winglet Version

Links to both files are in the NZFSIM entries.

Man there are a heck of a lot of 'autopilot issue' topics on the CS site.

Supreme Adam , cool.gif I am getting to like this 767 , i;m sure its the little extra's once grounded , LD767 sound file , hmmm is the better one , and obviously the autopilot is not a blow up dummy laugh.gif ... comparing the LD's office , think maybe be better but Captain Sim adds the extra's again ... with further details such as ground support ..

For the Hard Core .. yes im a 767 wantabe pilot .. LD , but for fun with the added detail Captsim thumbup1.gif

I bought the 727, and am having fun with it, both flying and doing a few paintjobs:

but didn't the NZ air force have a few? Any pics that you know of?

Thanks for the info, I think I prefer the old scheme too.
But I'll see what I can do. What's the logo on the engine/tail, the star? any good pics of that?

Its the centre of 40sqns coat of arms..looks a bit stretched on the 727 from this picture. Does the Cap Sim FSX 727 have a 100 series?

I have the airforce drawing plan to the star emblem , it is the very same used on the 1980s C130 , David 'Dax' Sweetman reproduced from the few photos i have here . There is a very old thread with the detail showing , it will search for it .
