Kaikoura FSX

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby toprob » Sun Nov 22, 2009 10:16 pm

Here's a quick preview of the FSX update of Kaikoura airfield.

This is a Godzone freeware release. I hope to have it ready very shortly. It's pretty much an update of the FS2004 version, but with FSX features.

It only extends to the airfield boundaries. However the screenshots show the airfield sitting within Timmo's Vector Landclass, which I'm pleased to be able to check out in beta. This is an amazing addon, which should impress all those who feel that the depiction of NZ in FSX falls a little short. It's great to be able to drop an airfield into a realistic depiction of the area, rather than the bland brown anywhereville which we've had up until now.

Kaikoura is pretty basic, but I've needed something to relax with after finishing Supercity:)

Another nice piece of work from both Robin and Timmo I will be watching for the release of both Robin's Kaikoura FSX and Timmo's Vector Landclass, and then doing a flight down to Kaikoura and back

Hey Robin

This Kaikoura scenery is superb!

I was wondering if this has been published yet? Or is it being released with VLC?

Thanks

Now all we need is an NZx smile.gif I will be getting VLC over the next week or so (so cruel released the day the daughter got back). Can't wait for all the scenery starting to meld and create a NZ we can all enjoy.
When asked what I have contributed to on this earth my reply will be my daugther
