Nice to see work on this one - a WIP , the 'Pegasus' had a three prominent font layouts and the final slanted , the one more commonly seen after the October 1970 mishap , this style replaced in the 66 season with a Sureal or Toronto type font .

Many other details one this one was black spinners and larger black painted nose and looking at engine cowl they have sourced the darker grey of the fuselage off course the larger Stars and Bar .
This is looking Great , the 'Phoenix' , that is going to be interesting ? the early 58/63 paint maybe , like how you mentioned this other , i will be interested to see that one as well

How is the virtual cockpit? That is usually the make-or-break issue for me...

UNITED STATE? NAVY? Error in the paint? I've always thought it was United STATES Navy. Maybe the real one is this way (but I don't believe so).
Just read a review at AVSIM. But I only fly FS9.

Jim , the UNITED STATES NAVY error was picked up very early , i since sent many photos off the Operation Deep Freeze aircraft , doosey error rolleyes.gif .. so simple but there are many detail wrong and mentioned it was a WIP , the painter man must really have been rushing it ohmy.gif have to check the credits and find out who our man with the brush was.

On the "Lockheed Constellation" livery the wing registrations are on the opposite wing to normal.....is this correct?? unsure.gif

Gary , from the very old photos i appears to be correct , i did wonder if this could be a promotion mishap when Howard Hugues grabbed the plane for the trans continental flight or a simple publication error , going through many books it seems there was many variations and even the registration carried through to the other side the font changed ! almost if the day shift and the or the night could decide who was correct , this seems to happen everywhere .

I did wonder if it was something like that

Legally it could be across the whoe wing of top starboard and bottom port.....but that not to say the rules wern't ignored or mistakes made winkyy.gif

As to different teams, one only has to look at Dan Air HS.748 in the later livery as the the vriation of stripe width between aircraft and one of BKS's three aircraft was painted back to front..that is with the taper from tail to nose rather than nose to tail.

The last blue tail Cambrian should have CAMBRIAN BRITISH AIR SERVICES on the port and BRITISH AIR SERVICES CAMBRIAN on the staboard so that Cambrian was always up front.

I think about half the fleet was wrong on the starboard side blink.gif

All seems to work well until humans get involved laugh.gif

The Expansion packs were released on the 24th , i have had only little chance to play around with it .

I was sorted disappointed with 'Phoenix' - scale and fonts lack of other details , many missing decals but that,s reason for the paint kit
