Have had some nice weather here this weekend and landing on riverbeds in the Pacer was very cool.
Will post more photos of that flying later on.
Have added a few ground based shots that have been taken this week as well.

I'd love to know how much drag those tyres add to the Pacer
yeah they are big! i think for a set the tyres cost around $4000?Last edited by leow5263 on Fri Sep 11, 2009 3:27 pm, edited 1 time in total.

With the new engine it climbs really well.
I saw it at over 1000 ft before the end of vector 30 the other day so great performance there.waka172rg wrote:QUOTE (waka172rg @ Sep 11 2009, 07:34 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>WOW love the F-27 Gavin![]()

Particulary liked those of the Pie Chaser
You didn't happen to be on the ground at Willies Strip around 1230 on Sunday?
I flew past a few times in a 172, the pacer and the cub were on the ground, along with a few people...
That would have been us and yes we did see you as well.
We were just gearing up to head down to the Goulter River and got some very neat photos and had a lot of fun.
A story will be published in Av News next month and will be worth a read.
Will post some pics after that.beaufighterguy wrote:QUOTE (beaufighterguy @ Sep 11 2009, 08:11 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Awesome shots ya got there Gavin...(as always) .

Would be a good amount of drag but the extra 30 hp or so more than makes up for it. The aircraft is such a performer now.
We finished taking photos at the Domes, and let Craig know we were finished and we were dragged off in a Cub doing 90 knots.FlyingKiwi wrote:QUOTE (FlyingKiwi @ Sep 12 2009, 12:35 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Great photos Gavin, that last one especially is amazing, but really they are all stunners.
Thanks.
The Friendship was fine.
Just a bit too much fuel during the start up but mad for an interesting photo.Cheers Gavin:

You might think they look like cartoon tires but they have a real purpose that will be seen very soon.
It is a great performer that can go places that most others cant.
They are large but boy do they perform well.Cheers Gavin:

Indeed , seen many Alaskan Utube videos , i keep thinking off movie , a B17 ball turret gunner gets trapped .. obviously a Disney production , a cartoonist draws himself out of trouble
