She was certainly loud I live about 100 mtrs across the road and she drowned out the TV the wife said what the hell is that and I said sound very much like the Bristol freighter to me opened the door and sure enough it was those big radials winding up a sound so familiar back in the 70s

A superb shot Gavin , that sound was so common .. and a site i took for granted .. now just lucky to have a dedicated bunch looking after the last running and someone so close to its home to photo it . cool.gif

Bloody Awesome ! spell,t with an 'O' .. She looks brand spanking new , Gavin were you privy ( SAFE AIR OPERATIONS ) .. so close to Woodbourne in there heydays or you just miss out ? .
