Great Video mate, The music wasn't too distracting, as you didn't have it blaring away at full volume; I could still hear the engine sounds smile.gif

I am very jealous to say the least, the weather looks perfect. Looks like a very enjoyable trip too, hopefully you can share some more videos!

Great vid- lucky with the wx, it's been bloody cr@p at Ardmore all last week!

How did you transition through CHCH airspace? Round banks peninsular, straight over the city, or out the back through the countryside?

heya, i followed the coast down as far as the ashley river mouth, then followed that in to RT then overhead forest field and ashburton, it took some serious navigating and luck tongue.gif

Great stuff... looks like you got the perfect day for flying!!

I have a couple of questions:

- How long to get from PP down to Kaikoura and Timaru in the old one fifty twice? (I dont have any south island charts, so can't measure it tongue.gif)

- I'm a little confused by the footage at the end... did you do a night landing in WN? and then head back to PP the next day?

- How did you manage to convince the missus to come along?? Everytime I suggest it to the wife, she pulls "The Face"™ and goes on about going shopping... rolleyes.gif

- Is she the one who got "excited" during the landing at Pine Park?? winkyy.gif

Finally a small suggestion for next time... use a high constrast colour for the titles... some of them have "blended" into the video due to the compression sad.gif

But as I said... awesome stuff!

PP-KI = 129nm KI-TU 156nm so all up around 2hr 50 1 way smile.gif

that night landing was 1 i did in PP not too long ago, but the day landing was from when i returned, i just added the night 1 in for a little dramatic effect tongue.gif

unfortunatly her grandad was very sick in timaru hospital so she was more than happy to jump along for the ride.

haha yes thats the 1, she keeps quiet now though tongue.gif however she wasnt impressed with the approach into kaikoura
