The competition, similar to the Screenshot competition, involves real world aviation photographs, instead of screenshots. The winner of the competition each month, will be named the NZFF Photographer of the Month, and receive a special NZFF graphic acknowledging them as such, allowing them to showcase their achievement on NZFF and across the internet.
Please note, I have posted the thread earlier, to enable you to start thinking about the new competition and as I am going away.
This months rules are as follows:
1) The photograph must be a photograph, not a screenshot or include any computer generated imagery in the picture.
2) The photo must either be taken in New Zealand (or New Zealand territory), or alternatively the photo can be taken overseas if an aircraft registered in NZ is featured (i.e. ZK-XXX).
3) Editing is allowed, so go for it!
4) The photo posted, must be no more than 1024 pixels wide and no less than 800 pixels wide. This enables all of us to properly view and critique all photos.
5) Images must be taken between the 1st July and the 31st July 2009. As with the Screenshot competition, you can alter you initial photo, by editing your post and embedding the new photo.
6) On July 31st, a poll will open, run for a few days to decide who has the best image. Whichever photo has the most votes at the end of the voting period will be deemed the winner.
Few Notes, to clarify certain matters in relation to the Screenshot Comp.
Currently, we have no theme, as it is unfair to ask people to concentrate on certain areas or particulars, depending on where they live. Unlike flight simulator, where we can program weather and aircraft without hassle.
As this is a new competition, we are welcome to ideas. If anybody has any suggestions they would like me to consider, please do not hesitate to send me a PM.
To keep this competition running, we need lots of entries! Everybody has the inner photographer in them, so lets see those photos!
