Hi everyone,

Our renewal for NZFF is coming up this month, so it's time for us to open up to donations again...

We have just over $110 left over from last year and need to raise a minimum of $250 to keep us going for another 12 months. The money will be used to renew the nzff.org domain and renew the hosting which NZFF is stored on.

As in previous years, you can donate through the Godzone store. Link. If we raise extra, it will be saved into a standalone savings account, and left to accrue interest, or used to add features/capabilities to NZFF. Not sure exactly what yet though (Opinions welcome!).

A wee disclaimer... You are in no way obliged to donate, and the only thing you will receive from your donation will be our gratitude, and the knowledge that you helped keep NZFF running another year.

Feel free to post any questions or pick me up on anything I've missed - I think I've covered the basics.

Cheers,

Alex

happy.gif hope my donation helps and that it reflects on the gratitude i feel towards NZFF smile.gif

not sure what to suggest you spend the excess on though wink.gif

maybe donations over a certain amount should get a little cuddly toy or a hug and a kiss ( lol )

Good timing! Get us when we're all smoochy and sentimental over NZFF's birthday biggrin.gif

I'd say carry the excess over (if any) towards the following year's hosting charges - just like this year. If the surplus is massive, then maybe sponsoring a few one-off competitions of some kind <?>. Anyway, piggy bank duly robbed winkyy.gif

Hugs and Kisses? We'd need a team of huggers to get through everyone, want to be the leader? tongue.gif laugh.gif

Haha, I was going to say that you could give us a birthday 'present', although then thought it would be a not-too-subtle money-grab. rolleyes.gif

Special competition idea is interesting though, cheers for that.

I dont post or even lurk here much anymore since all my gear is in storage ready for a big move but...

Other forums I belong to have a special kind of avatar thing that states wether the person is a supporter or premium member or something like that. It could lead to elitism but I doubt that with this group.

Just a thought.

We did discuss having a separate member category last year, and we didn't go ahead with it. There is a list of who donated money last year here. We will most probably be doing something similar this year.

I'll also have a chat again with Andrew and Robin about a separate member group for those who donate.

Hope I'm not too late... I got the email that said we were hoping that Robin would setup a donation feature on his site... and didn't see any update to that...

Just noted the link in the first post above this morning! Donation on its way (well, as soon as Robin processes the payment winkyy.gif)
