i seem to always have problems installing you scenery
i cant extract the files, even to a different folder because i get the message "there is already a file with the same name as the folder you specified" i didnt specify anything and it has an icon of a file called "scenery" i have the option to skip of try again. the latter just causes a repetition, and the former means that instead of a folder for scenery and texture, i get a scenery.file and texture.file, both of which have a size of 0kb.
im using vista. have you heard of this before?
atually, scratch that. i looked up the error code and found advice to download winrar from download.net. this fixed the problem
OK...................................
NOPE,........... never seen that one before when unzipping a WinZip file..........
Could be something to with a compatability issue with the version of Winzip youre using and Vista maybe .... ????

now that i have fixed one issue though, i cant quite understand how to use an EZ scenery library. am i supposed to create a folder, then scenery and texture, and then add all the items listed in the readme to these folders? because if so, i cant quite understand how this will work...
In your Addon Scenery Folder, you need to create a folder named "Static Objects Library".
Within that SOL folder you should create a folder named "Scenery" and a folder named "Texture".
(This is just like any NORMAL addon scenery,........... the First folder is the NAME of the scenery, and within that folder are the "Scenery" and "Texture" folders.)
From the EZ Scenery download zips,...........
All items ending with the file extensions .bgl .xml .mdl .txt go in the "Scenery" folder within the SOL.
All items ending with the file extesion .bmp go in the "Texture" folder with in the SOL.
Once you have a certain object set installed in the objects library, you dont need to download it every time you install a scenery that uses objects from that particular set,..... as you will already have it.
You must "activate" the Static Objects Library" folder within the sim, just like you would any other addon scenery.
If for example, you have my NZDN Dunedin scenery,......... once the required objects sets are in the SOL, just Move the folder named "Dunedin_NZDN" into the Addon Scenery folder and activate it. Re-start the sim, and go have a look at it........................
See the following NZFF links for more info on my FS9 sceneries in FSX.....................

These 2 links may be of use to you, as i design and build for FS9, and DONT have FSX.............

I've always had an issue when adding your sceneries to the FS Addon scenery folder in that when moving the main folder like "Dunedin_NZDN" the scenery and texture files refuse to go along. I've solved this by doing the above as you indicate and then I copy from the original download the two files and paste them into the main folder that now resides in FS9 and then activate it. I download all my sceneries to a different drive and then unzip them there before transfering the actual scenery to FS9. This does not happen with any other file by other designers and I don't know why, but I know what will happen with yours, so I do my work-around to get it installed. Doesn't bother me doing it this way since I really enjoy your work.
Thanks, and I'm looking forward to more.

Sorry Jim,............. but im absolutely stumped for and answer as to why that occurs with you.
Its a problem ive never encountered.
At least you seem to have a satisfactory workaround though...............
There will be more,............ fear not.
I still have few new ones for NZ to finish off, and im also going to do some full rebuilds and upgrades of a few of my older sceneries.
Im almost ready to upload one of them at the moment.
A full ground-up rebuild of YSNF Norfolk Island. The scenery will include the landclass fix for Microsoft's "Water" island, that is no longer available anywhere.
