Whakatane airport

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby profelio » Mon Apr 20, 2009 7:25 pm

Hi,

I downloaded, yesterday, Whakatane airport by Tim Barnes and I liked it very much: I flyed on helicopter and I hovered on airport a lot of time, I have appreciated graphics detailed and accurate.
Well, I have a blog

http://elio-passioneperlelicottero.blogspot.com/

in a week, I will write a post on my blog to review this wonderful little airport with screenshots ( if I have time, I’d like to do a video too); of course I will write the author’s name.

New Zeland is very far from Italy but what a wonderful country! I have just download Mount Tarawera....how many posts can I write on my blog!

I will notify when post about Whakatane airport will be on line.

Thank you mr. Barnes

Hey Elio- Thanks for the kind words- It is always nice to hear that other people are getting satisfaction from my scenery.

If you want a nice helicopter flight from Whakatane- Fly north across the water to Whale island- at the top of that you will find a helicopter pad suitable for small helicopters which, in real life, services the monitoring equipment there. It is quite tight so your hovering skills will be tested!

Cheers

Thanks Timmo,

very pleased to meet you; I already found the helipad on the peak: in these days I'm more in New Zealand than here at my work; so I have almost finish the post about airport (I think it will be online Thursday) and the video (It will be on line Friday or saturday; I will post it on Forum FS VIdeo) , meanwhile I'm already working on post about Whale Island ( I fly, I take screenshot, I google about it).
G-day

Elio
