Every week we are getting closer and closer to Invercargill, our starting and ending airport. This week we leave Mount Cook majestic mountains and fly south east for Taieri, a small general aviation airport that is a about 10miles north east of Dunedin.
The flight leaves mount cook and heads south for Omarama (Note: You can go to Tekapo (NZTL) after leaving Mount Cook then join the flight over Lake Pukaki if you have the scenery.) At Omarama head east to Oamaru via Lake Aviemore and the Waitaki River. After Oamaru follow the coast down to Taieri for a full stop landing.
This flight should be no longer than 1 hour and 30 minutes in a Cessna 172, however it will be if we don't leave as close to 7pm as possible.
