Mark , need to change a few areas

1 The ACM badge has to be reduced in size , least a quarter in size , and moved to almost the center of the panel

2 The Roundel need to be moved forward , good photo here (pan down) http://rnzaf.proboards.com/index.cgi?board...8445&page=5

3 The font - PV270 is not quite ..umm , maybe you could copy that from the photo thumbup1.gif

smile.gif

edit : the duckegg fuselage band , prity certain it stops at the grey underbelly

Ok, so I've made a few changes....

What do you think? The "PV270" serial is still not quite right, but personally I'm happy that it's "close enough"...

Cheers

Nice one, Mark! Nick's already put it on NZFSIM (thanks) - and I've just put up a full-size pop-up pic.

I gave her a trial flight on my RealAir FSX Mk IX (looks great!!) but noticed a problem ion the starboard side with the text "PV270" being overlapped by the "AL". Is that curable?

Actually, that was intentional, since its also how it's done on the real aircraft...

See the pic on this page here

I see! I've never noticed that before. What's that pink square above the "L" on that pic, do you think?

Good question - could be the signal flare cartridge launcher, but don't quote me on it....maybe I should have put that in the repaint also...in my defence, the RealAir paintkit didn't have it so I left it out! ninja.gif

There are a few other markings stencils missing , the wireless compartment was Port side in the almost correct place , this possibly was damaged at some stage since and had it left in as point of ref: to the ground crew in the period . The W/T stencil was on the port , maybe K5054 could shed some light for the marking .

One thing that come mind was it marked a jack point , since new in its build .
