Rob, is your store up and running yet? I can't log in to get your specials. Do we have to re-register? I want Southern Lakes to add to my collection.
Cheers
Paul
Yes, unfortunately there is no way for me to transfer accounts to the new system. The new site has details on the new sign-up process -- see the News page for details.
When you make your order, you will get the choice of signing up to the store or not. You pretty much have to enter the same details if you choose not to sign up, but it does mean one less account to worry about. Signing up, however, will give you access to your order history. But it won't give you access to the old store order history.
Make sure that you usethis link to enter the site. Going to the old site and entering the Store will bring you to the old store.
EDIT: one other thing -- the new Store does not include the old upgrade discounts-- yet. These will come after the official opening. This is to give me time to rethink the upgrade process now that downloads are an option.Last edited by toprob on Thu Apr 02, 2009 12:16 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Thanks for that.

One problem I do have, your old store has the ability to remove products and get a discount. (E.g. For the FSX Collection, if you have Welligton you can choose the to be excluded a save some cash)
I did mention above that the new Store does not include the old upgrade discounts yet. I do have a wee problem to solve here, in that it is possible for someone to select the upgrade discount, pay with Paypal, and download the scenery before I have a chance to figure out that they are not entitled to the upgrade.
By the way, the old Store does not have an upgrade discount for the FSX Collection or the FS2004 Collection. It did for a short time when I released Southern Lakes, just for those who had bought the old Collection though.
EDIT: It is still possible to get the upgrade discounts via the old Store.Last edited by toprob on Sat Apr 04, 2009 2:35 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Some are not all that relevant any more -- they became obsolete when we started to figure out how FS2004 design really worked:)
I am in the process of reviewing them, and anything which still makes sense will be put back up.

Ok, I've now come up with an upgrade strategy.
The savings are just the same as the old store, but it's handled differently. Each upgrade offer is now a separate product, accessible from a special upgrade product page. This page is linked from the main store page.
CD orders are handled as before -- I check that the upgrade applies, process the order, and ship. The order will show up as an upgrade.
Downloads will need to be activated manually when I process the order. The way this will work is that if the order includes a download, I'll swap out the upgrade product with the actual product to activate the download.
This is now live, so go order your upgrade:)
EDIT: when I say the savings are the same, I really mean that the percentages are the same -- if you choose a download only, then it is a bit cheaper.Last edited by toprob on Sat Apr 04, 2009 7:19 pm, edited 1 time in total.
