sad.gif well im not too happy right now as on the way to work thismorning I hit some oil going around the corner and my bike slid out and slid along the road lying down hit the island in the center and bounced over hitting the sign and the bolt in the sign ripped my near new Dunlop tyre on the back, and then after a few more meters of sliding came to stop on the other side of the road,
good thing no cars were comming,
so all up we did about 10-11 meters of sliding along the road.

Nice to know my gear works and I didnt even mark my helmet (im sooo happy because its $1000 worth)
and gloves are sweet but jacket and pants need replacing which sux but i guess a good excuse to get the stuff i wanted to get hehe.

ill chuck some photos up tonight if i can

OK here at the pics.

Bit sad, There is more damage than you can see, like some cables and break fluid and clutch etc etc etc.

But gotta look at the positives, I wasnt going really really fast and Im ok (apart from my knee) and im getting new gear tongue.gif

Stink one Dan, glad to hear your all right at least. I know what it's like, have fallen off every bike I've owned, you'd think I'd learn a lesson from it wouldn't ya...

Bit of a shame, I've heard those new Ninjas are very expensive to fix, fairings-wise.

I'm sure my bike has been down a few times (under previous ownership) - pegs and bar ends worn down, scrapes all over the place- even on top of the front mudguard >_>
But it's all good cos it's got no fairings!

Oh, get some of those Qmoto SPS gloves for $130, they look the biz! (if you need new gloves)

Ooooh bugger! At least you're okay, that's the main thing!

Got an XR250 dual sport. Haven't dropped it yet, although some dropkick knocked it over and stuffed up the throttle tube a while back.

I really should ride it more!

glad you are ok

I had my 'major' in the northern territory in OZ

had just gone over 15km of road works and got bck up to 100k's when the front tyre blew out - managed to wobble it across and put it down in a patch of red dirt ( the whole of Autralia )
we were 2 up at the time and both went sliding but my leg got crunched under the bike and the other one got thrashed around on top. luckily my mate was able to lift it and haul me out as the petrol was pouring out onto the hot engine - normally it took both of us to lift the bike ( a Yamamaha xj650 ) due to all the gear but he did it on his own and then held it up with one arm while he dragged me out by the collar! adrenalins great stuff!

had the bike repaired and back on the road by that night but the knees are both stuffed for ever now - and the wife won't even let me look at a bike or talk about them when the kids are around!

Thats the only thing with bikes.... You fall off and it bloody hurts
I am saving up for one at the moment just takes a while when you do a bit of flying a week lol
This stuff dosen't put me off however as most people who have bikes they experience this once or twice sad.gif
For now it's just driving my scooter and my mums car to work and school lol

At least you are ok. Same thing happened to my brother going around a wet corner, slid metres in front of an on coming car, hit the kerb with a whack and bounce into a wall.

Hoping good luck comes your way soon! wink.gif

Yeah, annoying things about bikes - bloody fun, but bloody dangerous!

At least it wasn't too severe, good luck on getting it fixed up!
