I guess I should have asked this before.......... (as in who's going to go?)

Who when to Iron Maiden on Friday in AKL or Sunday in CHC???

My wife and I went to CHC last night - freakin awesome clapping.gif thumbup1.gif clapping.gif All the old classics came out to head bang and scream along to and the set, as usual, was great. First saw these guys in 1988 and they still rock biggrin.gif

I went to the Auckland concert. Was an amazing concert I agree, they pretty much played my ideal setlist. biggrin.gif

Highlights definitely Run to the Hills, and Fear of the Dark which I wasn't expecting them to play. I've also had the chorus of The Evil that Men Do stuck in my head since Friday!

Churchill's speech and Aces High were my highlight. The Trooper, Run to the Hills, Number of the Beast were also up there. I went to bed humming Phantom of the Opera biggrin.gif

This looks as though it will be interesting:

The movie follows the band on the first leg of their Somewhere Back In Time World Tour in February and March of 2008 as they experienced the most ambitious and adventurous tour in rock history.
The Maiden tour plan was something that had never been attempted before on such a grand scale. Circumnavigating the globe, the band flew in a specially customised Boeing 757 airliner with their crew and 12 tons of music and stage equipment on board, playing 23 sold out stadium and arena shows in 13 countries in just 45 days, travelling 70,000km and performing to almost half a million fans.

Releases: 21st Apr
Rating: M - Coarse Language
Running time: 112 mins

Looking forward to it. Also look out for the accompanying T-shirt which features the "Flight 666" titles with a nice big image of the 757. smile.gif

Haha well according to the Facebook quiz- if I was any commercial aircraft, I would be a 757, so it would be rude not to get the shirt laugh.gif Know where to buy them from Leo?

I haven't seen them for sale in NZ yet, only on the internet, but I would imagine they'll probably arrive here eventually.

I own the Limited Ed DVD and the T-shirt (bought it together in the USA) The DVD is really cool. Not a whole lot about the aeroplane, or the flights, but a cool concert, and a fun insight into the band all the same.

Cool t-shirt:
