Give a good idea of the atmosphere there. I remember when I went up into the Tower at Auckland a couple of years ago - the inclement weather looks very similar. laugh.gif

Just wondering, why are they retiring ZK-NBS? Is it because it is too old and/or they don't have use for it?

It was always the intention to retire one 747 when all the 777s were in service...unless demand dictated otherwise...but the way the world economy is heading that demand didnt happen

I dont think that they are retiring ZK-NBS because of age or something like this. He is experimental plane(that biofuel) and for last 2 weeks most of time ive seen him in ANZ Engineering hangars. So IMHO thay just put on paper that was made in real earlier. Now i think he is going to have flight program for testing biofuel engines

You cropped the first two way too tight, especially the A330 - but really nice clear photos! You will have to show me around when im next in AKL!

thats parking opposite to domestic terminal, 90% of photos took at 300mm(70-300mm) probably if you have 200mm lens it wont give good photos, but if you have 300+mm that is not that bad point especially when 5L/R in use. Now about cropping... first(QF330) maybe... but no more than 5px from each side, second one is correct cuz in bottom you will have 30% of image the roof of terminal
