2pc's, 2monitors each, help with G1000 cockpit

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Hmm, well I have 2 computers, PC1 and PC2, each of them have two monitors,
now on PC1, i want to run the default forward view on one and radios/squawkbox on the other monitor.
on PC2, if possible, on the left screen i want to run the main G1000 display full screen, and on monitor 2 run the secondary G1000 display.

Is this possible? What programs would I need.
I Have FSUIPC and WideFS.

I've had a look at Project magenta, I'll have a closer look tomorrow, and consider trying it out,

Thanks everyone.

Sounds like you have what you will need i think with wideFS program ,it should let you use the other pc2 for other programs and windows displays when setup ...

Thanks,

I'm not too experienced with WideFS, I can get it connected, but i'm not sure how to use it, I just get a white box.
I'll read the manual a bit later tongue.gif

Does anyone know how i can use WideFS to display the G1000 ?

You actually need wide view, each pc runs a copy of the flight sim and is sync'd using wide view

wide fs only syncs the fsuipc data accross the network.

wide view lets your have multiple pcs running mutliple windows views and panels

WidevieW can be used to create cockpits with panoramic scenery view

Looks like i'm going back to fs2004,

Only one PC can run FSX. Hah, oh well.

Another way could be a "triple head to go " unit http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/

Ah, WidevieW only does outside views. I thought I had found a way around it by using the onboard 64mb nVidia card on PC1, but then FSX says it doesnt have the shader support.

So I might just give FS2004 a go, and see how that goes.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
