LOOK AT THAT ! :) , Lawrie - Mike , you have to team up with idea of deleting all rwy12 addons (create own buildings and textures , anything you can use from mine , go for it , I also have photos from around CHCH if you need window or structure pics) , THAT LOOKS BRILLIANT !

Thank you Ian,.............. praise indeed from a "Master" at scenery work................
I hardly use Rwy-12 addons theses days, mostly EZ Scenery libraries, they are better, and there is much more variety available.
The EZ Scenery builder program is also much better than Rwy-12 as well (in my humble opinion that is).
As for teaming up permanently to remove all such addons for sceneries in FS9,........... hell of a job there, assuming you can get good pics of all buildings everywhere, and also, i think Mike is more interested in concentrating on producing FSX stuff now.
Its not the first time we've teamed up,.............. Napier NZNR was also one we did last year. ( thinking of doing an upgraded V-2 for that one as well). Still plodding away on NZHN Hamilton with photoreal buildings for FS9, (another joint one between Myself and Mike), in between other stuff, currently doing a little scenery for one that MS missed out all together in FS9,............ NZHA Hawera.

Great stuff.................from the point of view of a non designer, just a "user."

And for the first time, it's working and I don't have to ask for help for my own incompetent "stuff-ups".

My New Zealand is looking pretty good at the moment - can someone tell me why I should go to MFSF X.?, even considering the DSE "bargain" weekend. ?

Great work Lawrie and co. Fantastic addition. Keep up the good work

By the way, am I the only one to experience 'blurries' once airborne? Everything is fine until I look back at the airport when flying. I had this problem on the Coromandel but the new textures fixed all that. They returned after I installed Thames but I removed this and all was well. There appears to be no texture double ups or textures to remove in NZNP. Any ideas?

Cheers

what are your system specs ? graphic and memory "ram" mainly ,also have you got addons like realnz ? this is just so i can eliminate performance issues ,and then we can start looking at parts of the scenery that mite be doing this ..
i do know from the way i designed those buildings that it wouldnt be the photoreal stuff as they are really low in faces and the textures are great performers and ive never had problems or flps hits with all the testers i had test them before they where compiled with this scenery project ..
this would leave system specs or another object complied with the scenery ,,truth be told you are the only one i know of so far with this problem ..
abit more info and some testing and we will have the problem sorted for you ..

Hi Paul............
Um,.................... yes,.......... as far as i know (so far), you are the only one to have experienced this problem.
I cannot think of any reason offhand for that sort of behavior with the scenery itself.
Possibly a video card or driver issue ???
Installing Thames should NOT make blurries re-appear at Coromandel,.............they use the same texture sets, and as you said, you have installed the updated textures.
NO, there will be NO texture double-ups with NZNP ( if you are using the version-2 PHOTOREAL version), as they are custom textures peculiar to NZNP only.
Im assuming you ARE using the "V-2" version of NZNP ??????? .......................

Its not JUST me that put a lot of work into it,...............
It was a JOINT effort between Myself and Mike (creator2003).
I honestly DONT KNOW if it will work in FSX or not................
Most of the building textures etc will probably show in FSX, but i doubt if the airports surfaces of the AFCAD will show in FSX.
It was placed to fit into FS9, so it may not be in the right place in FSX (buildings etc wont line up with aprons etc, and the flattens and excludes i doubt if they will work) ................. worst case you would get both the photoreal and the default FSX buildings showing.
One way to find out,.................. you could try it.................

I did design it for FSX only in the begining but these photoreal buildings dont not have dds textures anymore ,my stuff would show but in no way was this released for fsx as riddlez is doing one for it and i thought the fs9er could use them instead of my work going to the rubbish bin ,
like lawrie said afcad /excludes/trees another objects like fences and many many more things would just be problems in fsx so best to just wait for riddlez version for FSX ,thats kinda what was intended to happen

Did you put the exclude lines in the scenery file?
Maybe go through the instryctions and go over and see if you have missed out anything.

Greetings Thomas,
If you haven't copied the AFCAD into the scenery/world/scenery folder then I suggest ypu do. You might get a surprise.
Like Daniel said, check the instructions. Good luck... smile.gif

Ah Shite. I forgot! I was past Gore & Mandeville twice in the last couple of weeks on holiday......

I'm unemployed at the moment so if you can think of any airports south of the Waitaki you want details on let me know.

Just PM Me

P.S. Nice collaboration on NP
