Just some shots from the last flying day of the year for the club, last Sunday.....it's raining as I type so its not likely we'll be out there this morning! Lovely selection of scale and sport models last week, as well as a single chopper. Here's the scale beauties smile.gif

Who doesn't know the Messerschmitt 109! Sadly due to engine problems it didn't fly last week.

Lovely Bell P-39 Airacobra, complete with retracts, also suffered a technical glitch and so didn't fly either.

Very nice The World Models Piper Cub ARTF - Almost Ready To Fly - kit. With these babies all you need to do in most cases is get radio gear and a motor!

Another Cub, this one much larger but woefully underpowered. Let's just say that once it landed, we all applauded!

Finally for this week, a Culver Dart built from plans by the same guy with the 109 above. Very sporty looking thing, which sadly had a slight U/C issue on landing. But it'll fly again very soon smile.gif.

There was also a very nice Pilatus PC-9 in RAAF Roulettes colours, a very speedy delta, and several aerobatic machines. Some very impressive flying, with at times four aircraft up!

Sorry for the lack of G2A shots, but as some of you know my camera sucks at even 1:1 scale ground to airs! So, pointless with R/C birds.

I'll post pics of anything of interest over the next year as well....one guy brings in a different scale model each week!

Out of all the models , that must be the most realistic in shape and scale , i wonder , was the builder/aviator trying to mimick the true underpowered feel of the type in scale model rather than zipping around with its pants on fire ?

This is a must return to hobbie , building model aircraft , Zac keep those photos coming thumbup1.gif

Sorry Antony, I was nothing more than an awestruck spectator that day, and not a member of any RC club myself - so I didn't know who was there smile.gif I'd like to get into RC, but it's finding the time and money. Perhaps if I stop spending on flightsim I might eventually afford an RC plane rolleyes.gif
Cheers,
Alister
