I can vouch for what Alex said about the Singapore C-130 really being that shiny. I think they polished it up especially for the Ohakea show after flying it up from some multi-national training exercise out of Woodbourne last summer. I remember when me and HCP qued up for a look in the cockpit (which incidentally didn't have a modern glass cockpit setup , still the old steam gauges), the line was about treble the length of that shown in that photograph, you must have taken that one right at the beginning of the day!

Hahah, I learnt from Whenuapai the year before - get through all the aircraft as soon as you can; the lines don't get shorter as the day goes on. laugh.gif

Yea, I thought that they might have some flasher avionics - but was still a very tidy aircraft. smile.gif

Also, that is a wicked pic from Afghanistan Bazza. My cousin was based over there with the RAF in Kandar but only has funny stories to share with me rather than any photos- I remember you said you have a source in the military where you get your ones from, so is there any chance you could start up a thread in the RWAP section and post a load of them? I love getting having a peek at what Joe Public's eyes don't usually see!

I'll certainly post anything I get Andrew, however the email situation from over there is pretty sporadic and I'm usually not sure about the security level of what I do get. I did post a bunch a while back with a few helo's etc. The last email I got suggested the troops there are working very long, dodgy hours, so I suppose sending me a/c pics is well down on the priority list.

Keeping the C130 theme going, a few screenshots,

one (previously posted here) of the C130 doing a surprise run at Warbirds over Wanaka:-

and a couple of FSX screenshots with the C130 (demo version only) at Wanaka:-

Now should I have posted these under screenshots???!!!!

Smooth Landings (and short ones if in a C130).
