Will run great on your computer Nick...

Well maybe not great

Here is my word of advice- DO NOT BUY.

GTA IV for PC was ported from PS3/360 to work on computers. It has major major preformance issues unless you have a Quad Core processor and a high end Graphics card.

They will be releasing a patch soonish to fix these things, but still we cant be sure that it will run on computers such as mine.

Just as an example, my PC runs GTA at about 15-20 FPS driving a car and what not. BTW, this is on the lowest settings pretty much.

My PC.

3.0 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 HT Processor sad.gif
2GB Ram
ATI Radeon 2600PRO 256mb Graphics Card

Basically, the 2GB is the only thing thats saving me a bit. I really need to upgrade my processor and card!

Though, if you do get it and you can play it- AWESOME GAME!

I splashed out and got it with an xbox 360, it is excellent. However I've heard it isn't great on PC.

Apparrently..

PC is by far the best version, if you can run full settings- But obviously most people cant.

So if you do have a console, Id definently buy it for the console, but if you dont- I wouldnt go splash out on one!

Its even a really really fun game without it looking awesome. Its just miles above every other GTA, especially the covering feature- God its so damn awesome!

However I did find that the absence of aeroplanes made it a bit more boring. In San Andreas I used to grab the stuntplane and land on roofs & hilltops & shite. I even found a few "airstrips"

What are the graphics like on the Planes if they have any?

There are no aeroplanes that you can fly-only helicopters. This was because there are few open areas in the game, as opposed to SA which had tonnes of countryside for little sorties. There are AI airliners though which take off and land at the airport.
