Me and Eddy went up to NZAA airport today:

Few pics from various places:

Work was taking place on 23L today so an extended threshold was in place also.

"Expect Localizer/ DME Echo Approach, Runway 23L" Haven't heard that approach ever before at Aucks on the ATIS. Lots of info also on there today.

Enough chit chat and here are the pics:

I didn't think you were allowed a scanner inside the terminal building?

Some nice shots there though PG- what camera were you using?

I bring my scanner everywhere Trolly lol
Also I used it more at 23L viewing spot. I am just using a basic 6MP Cyber Shot, Nothing special
Thanks for your feedback

And yes they actually cleaned the windows this time, Last time I went up there when the A380 arrived, They where so dirty my pics looked s**t.

There good Pics, Except the last one lol
Shame wellington dosent have good ones for viewing the runway from the terminal. Very good spot when 16 is in use, and 34 outside by the rocks is good from what I have heard. Sorry already a topic for best spots. My bad

Yea, last time I was down there we pulled over by the windsock (and the sign that says 'Restricted Area' - oops) and had a look around. If it was a sunny day (i.e. not squally showers) I imagine it'd be quite nice. tongue.gif
