rofl.... hard core, have you tried running a PD 3ghz, Nvidia 7500 LE, with FSX tongue.gif

i upgraded,

*PD 3ghz (Sponge, P4 3.06)

to my new (just bought tongue.gif ), e8400 3ghz, and i must say OMFG i went from 20FPS to 100+.....

with my GPU upgrade i went from

*Nvidia 7500LE 256m (sponge, X300 128m)

to my new 3870 512mb, and i noticed an increase in both Gfx display and FPS but only minor in the FPS catagory

I don't think you need mega-high-tech to run FS9 or X well, at least that is the case in my setup. Like I said before, I have an "old tech" Intel P4 and an nVidia 7950GT and I'm perfectly happy.

My new dual core AMD performs better than my old single core AMD both with about the same CPU speed - running FS9.

ALso guys, If you get someone to do it like myself. You can overclock your CPU.I overclocked my E8400 3GHZ Core 2 duo, to 4GHZ on air. I wouldn't try it yourself as its quie risky. Also make sure you buy a sufficient cooling device. This way you can gtet a faster CPU for $70 for buying a cooling device.

Warranty is another thing thanks Sam, If you buy a brand new CPU don't go overclocking it unless you plan to want more performance or upgrade and if you get someone or know what your doing. In my case I overclocked it as I am planning on buying a Quad Core but for now I overclocked it so I could try and get some more performance without spending much money at all.
