hey

ive got two things that open on start-up that worry/bug me

first is a Dlink folder, containing the drivers etc

second is the FRAPS installer (weird)
i installed FRAPS but when i tried to uninstall it successfully went but everytime i restart it pops up with the installer and i click cancel and it closes....

they dont affect the system (not that i can tell) but they are really worrying

please someone help remove them (i have checked the startup folder)

Try removing them from the startup list (not sure whether you mean that you've done this already when you say you've removed them from the startup folder?). On XP, go to Run, enter 'msconfig', go to the 'Startup' tab and uncheck the processes that you want to remove from starting up when you log on.

i tried that msconfig stuff, and found quite allot of unecessary services and startup apps, but no mention of the Dlink or FRAPS parts
