It is!! Not that I havnt seen one before, Ive seen them numerous times now, including having flown on one, so the novelty is sorta wearing off. But its hellishly quiet, it gets me every time. Its really hard to imagine til your actually there, its just silent!

I knew the A380 was a big boy...but that nose pic where you can see the pilots really puts it into perspective! MUCH bigger than I was imagining! Looked like a nice day for spotting too.

it did a low fly by last night, the A280 is feakishly quite, if i wasn't out side loading our jet truck, i would not have noticed it. they don't look that much bigger than a 747 in the air, had to do a double check to make sure it was the a380 to start with
In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.

Thanks Guys!

And yes, as Jason as said I will say again. It is so quiet its unbelievable, especially when each engine is producing 70,000 lbs of thrust!

The A380 really is big. I see what you mean about the tail too.
I think Qantas' new livery looks pretty good, especially on the A380.
Cool pics again Ben thumbup1.gif
