Hi Christian,

I am considering the possibility of creating a NZ Golden Wings install (GW, by Bill Lyons, is a system to revert FS9 back to the 1920-50s). Naturally, I wish to continue using NZ Mesh, LandClass and Topo.

During this period the existing road network did not conform to what is presented today. So, what road files would I need to de-activate. I'm assuming these are rdh* and rdr* .bgls?

Of course, the various objects_.bgls will also need to be deactivated. Is there anything else I need to deactivate to make NZ more Golden Age?
Regards,
Dorian

Hi Dorian

Would be nice to have a Golden Wings version for NZ, but it's tough to do. I'd keep the rdh* since those are the highways and I presume those existed in the Golden Age. rr* is the railways which you may want to get rid off. And also the bridges br*. Then there is the golf courses and sports fields and race tracks (should be obvious which they are).

That would be it I think.

Cheers,
Christian

Hi Christian,

Many thanks. I have decided I will keep the rr*, as it was an important mode of transportation during the period. I will also keep the racetracks (am I correct in assuming these are rt* codes?) and sports fields (sf*?) as they too were a central component of kiwi culture ("Muscular Christianity" and all that winkyy.gif ).

Codes I cannot quite figure out are:
gp* = ?
bru* = ?
hpa* = ?
hpi* = ?
hpu* = ? and
hpo* = ?

What I have so far looks and feels about right; now, just have to find out which airfields were in operation and create their layout (already have photos of Harewood, Rongotai, Paraparaumu, Taieri and Nelson).

gosh, it's been a while...

gp* = golf course polygon?
bru* = bridge urban
hp* = hydropoly (water polys)
