Anyone used FScene texture products by Ruud Faber. If so how do they compare with others. I see there is a discount of 40% if total world pack is purchased within the next week.

For what sim ? there are a couple of topics around i think here with even screen shots ,i know one or two people that have used it aswell with FSX and thought it was ok but i think also these textures were just ported over to X from 9 and you are back to the low res textures again..the green is real green in NZ actually i think to bright .. this is the Asia set im talking about by the way ,in fs9 i think the topo and landclass are the best for NZ ,and in X im using the topo/ landclass again for X along of course with RealNZ scenerys that makes NZ pretty sweet until a updated landclass data set for NZ is released..
use the search box and search landclass ,nz textures etc .. and see what you can find out also add fscene and see what else you can come up with .. thumbup1.gif

Thanks for that info. I already use topo and landclass and will stick with that. Much appreciated.

Yep - I agree with Mike. I purchased FScene for FS9 a few years back, based on the weight of the screenshots and reviews at the time. I was quite disappointed as the colours just didn't seem right and the autogen didn't seem to match the ground tiles. I then tried Ground Environment Pro from Flight1. That WAS a real step up from FScene and looked almost photoreal - the autogen was really well done and the ground tiles had an almost 3d look to it. The only shortcoming with GEPro is that every rural area tile is bordered by a dirt road which helps with the alignment of the surrounding tiles. Given NZ is largely rural this results in long straight dirt roads for as far as the eye can see - not at all realistic! I would recommend sticking with the Geographx topo and landclasses and you won't be disappointed!

Hope this helps,
Mat
