My guess is the state of the airframe it would take alot of time and money to get that going. It's a pity I'm never around to see these things. BTW a C-130 just went past my house on approach.

Good call, back to the topic at hand laugh.gif
I believe the last Bristol thread said that it would taxi but not fly due to the amount of work involved, so I assume it's there's a lot of hard work to make it flyable.
Nice to see the Bristol has both engines going. It does look happy in some kind of way.

whathesaid.gif Nah it's most unlikely it would fly again as the body has been sand blasted. sad.gif

What's wrong with that? Sandblasting wouldn't affect the strength of the airframe.

I think they sandblasted the rivets and made them useless for flying.

Oh yup.. So they'd just fall out aye? rolleyes.gif laugh.gif Have to admit I did actually laugh after reading that. Cheers for the chuckle, I needed it.

It's just the same as any other derelict aeroplane- it's just the fact heaps of money would be needed to restore and go over the airframe and fix the damage time has done. There's bound to be corrosion etc.

No sand though winkyy.gif

Oh and Beaufighterguy what was your name? We might have met one time when I've been down in Blenheim.
