has anyone got this mesh in fsx? how does it go? i also have active sky x and x graphics will this work with these installed??


FSX-STRM Mesh for Australia, New Zealand and PNG (Papua New Guinea) This STRM mesh will update your FSX default Mesh giving you a much better resolution than the default mesh that comes with default FSX. We have used the latest Data available fixing all voids where possible. Thomas Trewin

I think that the 75m mesh from Geographx does the same thing? Might be easier to download from there.

Oh, and to answer your questions... No, I don't have the mesh, but your ActiveSky stuff should be a-ok to work with it.

The default FSX mesh is SRTM already, so I would be very surprised if this was any different. Many developers are just not aware that the default NZ mesh is 75 metre STRM, and this is not the first time that someone has released an 'improved' NZ mesh which is no improvement at all. I would recommend the Geographx free mesh, which doesn't suffer from any of the faults of the SRTM meshes.

so is that all? just 75m nz mesh? what about NZ Airfields & Airstrips (3.6MB pdf) do these work in fsx?

The PDF shows the location of airstrips. Does not add anything to FS. Its an Adobe file.

To add to Alex, the airstrips that the pdf shows aren't in default FSX. The pdf is for owners of Roads & Rivers of New Zealand, so not really of any use of you don't own that scenery.
