Stumbled across this site when I was looking for some data on Omaka...

It may be well known to some but has some great shots to waste time checking out of you weren't aware of them.

It seems admin have the word filter set so that will change it automatically from the American spelling with the 'i' to the usual spelling of aeroplane when you type it. You see, if you try to type 'aeroplane,' it will come out as 'aeroplane' anyway![]()

Well spotted Matt, and I'm the guilty party...
A few things our American friends do to the language that are too much to bear
Laboratory to rhyme with lavatory
Lever to rhyme with ever
...and that word "a irplane"
So I set the filter to change it, way back.
See, it works!
Also shows how heavyhandedness can backfire...Last edited by Charl on Sun Jul 20, 2008 10:43 am, edited 1 time in total.
