I suspect #4 is the Aeroclub building, but i would like confirmation, and to find out what the other 3 numbered structures are.

Thanks,
Lawrie.

number 2 is Terminal and it's got i guess you could say a tower. number 1 if i remember it is a house. number 4 is a hanger i don't know if anything is in it.
number 3 can't remember sorry.
i hope that helps
Todd
Thanks Todd,............every little bit helps.
I figured #2 was a tower of some sort, from the small long distance grainy pic ive got of it,.... but i just wanted to make sure.
#1 a house, ????.......... ok, i was thinking it was a shed of some sort, from the same grainy long distance pic ive got of the tower.
#4....... i thought the light coloured roof in the pic i posted was maybe the aero-club ??? I know the dark coloured roof beside it is a hanger......
Im picking that #3 is just some small sheds of some kind,.............. if i cant find any more pics from anywhwere, i'll just have to go with what i think they are.

SA227 wrote:QUOTE (SA227 @ Jun 28 2008, 03:58 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>the building with the white strips in the roof at #1 very similar to a skyline garage and the dark object just below it I believe is a large tree but not sure what's next to that. For #2 it is a tower, it sits 1 storey above the terminal. If you did one like Touho but made it white you'd be pretty close.
#3 are just small sheds possibly associated with a met office weather station and #4 is indeed a hangar.
Thank-you so very much.
You have confirmed my suspicions on all of the above.
Lawrie.

As the title of the pic says........."Oamaru_Aerodrome_1989",........... so i guess it was taken in 1989.
Thanks anyway, but ive got this pic already.

That is great. Now it will add a bit of realism to those Christchurch to Oamaru sectors.

All i need to do is figure out what those circilar things in the bottom left of the picture that i posted above are.
If i cant find out what they are in the next couple of days, i will just have to leave that area in the scenery blank, and finish off the rest of it.

Markk wrote:QUOTE (Markk @ Jul 11 2008, 03:57 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Lawrie, I've an aerial photo map of the airport, showing that the circular objects are just some sort of dirt patches in the ground, no buildings or tanks on that particular ground at all.
Hi Mark.
Any chance of e-mailing that aerial pic to me please .....?????
