Where do you get your user name from....?

There are some interesting user names on here so why don't we all explain where why we chose em... Ones like "Alex", "Daniel" and "Anthony" etc etc I think are all pretty self explanatory. Some others aren't though....

As for mine, - A185F, for those who don't know it is a model (the last and possibly best) of a Cessna 185 (the greatest aeroplane god ever invented) I really like these planes (for those who can't tell) and did a fair chunk of time in one and during that time I signed up here and well couldn't think of anything else.....

YOUR turn...

Born in the "Naki" - lived there for 20 years before moving to Auckland for another 20 (with a short stint in Palmy and Sydney) and now in Tauranga. My real life flying years were in the Naki - hopefully it wil be resurrected here in the Bay. Bit confusing since I live in Tauranga and my forum name is Naki - thought about changing it but never got around to it.

I got mine when I created my first bbs account, back in the days when a 1200baud modem was flash cool and techie, on Jupiter I/O. The sysop was called something like "The President of the Board" so I cheekily called myself "The Chairman of the Board".

My name's Matt and I used ZK-MAT as my callsign when on Vatsim. It also happens to be the reg of a Cessna 172 here in the BoP owned by Bay Flight International, so there's a local flavour but I have no association with the plane or Bay flight.

Mine has nothing to do with my association with Larry Flynt... honest! dry.gif

But seriously... I was in rebel sport one day looking through the posters and found this one... I liked it so much that I bought it... painstakingly scanned it in on an A4 printer and stitched it back together... I was heavily into Counterstrike in those days, and it fit with the theme and made for a cool custom 'spray'...

I also used to play a lot of chess in high school...

The "Pawn/P0rn" pun value is just an added bonus... smile.gif

Yer mine is fairly self explanatory cause it's just my first name. smile.gif
Some may remember that when I first joined up my username was brotonee.
That wasn't anything special either, just based around a nickname - Brother Tony, from school.

Mines pretty simple... Alfa - as in Alfa Romeo, since I'm an Alfaholic. Shark - an age old nickname for me for two reasons, I have very strong teeth and use them as tools when needed (never get caught short with the wrong spanner), and the fact I drink like a fish cheers1.gif I'm sure Snowman recalls my 2-3am pie runs lol
