Will the Posky 777 have an FMC?
I have heard comparisons of this made with PMDG and other products and that this is better. Are we just talking eye candy here?
The most essential element of flying the B777 and other FMC equipped glass airliners is the flight management/autoflight integration and functionality.
If this just essentially uses the standard FS autopilot masked with a non functioning MCP (in the correct sense) and a static FMC then one
simply cannot compare this with PMDG or LVLD.
Surely if it doesnt have these features then it is the same as trying to fly flight sim with a mouse rather than a joystick.
Please tell me it has a working FMC!!!!! I can live without the EFB.

Naaww, Posky is freeware- No freeware (I know of) has a fully functional FMC- Thats why I dont fly freeware

Nah it wont but it'll still look good (if you've got a payware addon with an FMC I guess you could put it in the cockpit (after some user edits though))

I think the iFly 747 has an FMC, not sure though.

As said, nah the posky T7 won't have an FMC. I think people are comparing it with the visual quality. Even I mentioned on their forums that the VC is up to par with the PMDG 747 VC.

Yes a FMC for a freeware aircraft is a big ask I know but, in my view when modelling this type of aircraft, it is essential. It just isn't a B777 otherwise. It just looks like one.
I hope that one day an FMC developer joins the team as this would truly make POSKY outstanding .

Buy the PSS (now justflight) and merge it if your really that worried. Thats what I do.

Posky will never ever put an FMC into it, its just too much work.

Never say never.
Posky might not have to put one in Ben as a freeware one might become available shortly that could be configured to use. This will be a real boon to FMC equipped aircraft developers.

Yeah, the vasFMC runs seperate to actually aircraft though (in principal) Its alot lot lot more work to have it fully functional according to the aircraft weight, balance etc. Its just too much work, and they would need a really good programmer. For all that work, they would almost have to make it payware.

But yes, never say never- I forgot about iFly, there 747 has a basic FMC.

Have another look at the link Ben and you will see that the latest VasFMC 2.0 can be integrated into a panel as they did with the A320.

Well it is a good thing that there are some really good freeware models available. Some equal to payware.
That is a pretty lean budget!
