Will a joystick make the sim easier?

Hi,

I have just purchased a joystick. At the moment i am just using the keyboard and i find it very hard to land exactly on the runway etc. Will the joystick make landing/flying easier?

As the others have said yes ofcourse it will ,flight simming is about as real as it gets within your home environment so having a joystick will be one step closer for you next you could get pedals yoke radio stacks and then the most important scenery /Aircraft
the joystick is your first step to as real as it gets ,so dont hesitate next time just add add add you will only learn more and again have a really good time ...

The keyboard is horrible, the joystick will be a major improvement once you get used to it,
I found that the keyboard was quite clumsy and slow, whereas with the joystick the aircraft responds a lot faster and in the way you would expect. So in that respect, yes it probably does make the sim easier. Although it also could make it harder, the movements you make should be controlled and also quite small.
Plus the joystick is a lot more real than the keyboard, but if you want realism then a yoke and pedals is the next step.

I got home from school today and there was my new Joystick. Only $11 off trademe for a Microsoft Sidewinder Pro!! Its great!!!!!!!!

Haha, great, those old Sidewinders are as tough as nails - I've got one in the cupboard that's at least 10 years old and still works perfectly (even after I'd thrashed it on FS98 ).
