Auckland 2005

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby cowpatz » Mon Jun 23, 2008 5:51 pm

I have been taking a frame rate hit with some of Snowmans excellent scenery that seems to be due to chainlink fences. I also have miserable frame rates with Auckland 2005. This scenery also has extensive use of chainlink fencing and I am wondering if this may also be the cause. Can anyone tell me which BGL file in the scenery file has the fencing and if I remove it what else will go?
Thanks

Not possible in Auckland 2005 to remove them, without removing a lot of other stuff as well.
For lighter fps try the version by Rob Diebold called Auckland Airports for RealNZ Auckland City, done in 2006.
Its the exact same airport buildings etc etc, but with all the static aircraft and a lot of other unecessary static stuff stripped out.

Many thanks Lawrie. I thought that might be the case. I will give that one a try.
