Could someone please help me out. I've just re-installed my copy of RealNZ Auckland and I have a problem with Auckland hospital in that I can't land on the helipad area because I just sink through the building? I did a quick search on the forum to locate any topics relating to this but couldn't find any answer hence why I'm starting a new topic.

Think you may get the right stuff here

Incidentally, I found that by going to the "Search" button (top right of your screen) and entering "hospital"!
Perhaps a lesser known forum function...

While we are on the subject, a few years back someone had an attempt to harden the ASB tower in Auckland (maybe Charl) which left a giant mountain where the tower should have been. I remember reading a fix ie delete some BGL but I can't find it now. Can anyone help? I've searched through the forums with no luck so far.

Yes it's a stray AFCAD from the 10 Squirrels pack - I had a go and forgot to remove it from the upload.
I think it was NZ23, so remove the AFCAD:

Thanks for your help fellows.

Downloaded the Finney Air chopper package, but all the pads are sitting above the Auckland Hospital helipad half way up in the air, and the main auckland hospital pad is about 500meters away from the hospital itself sitting in between buildings on the grass, have I done something wrong along the way somehow?

Thanks Charl for your prompt reply. I'll do that tonight. It all comes back to me now!

the link above will sort out all your problems around Auckland city 2004 the download is at the bottom of the page posted by HCP
QUOTE
What does this package do?

Makes Auckland Hospital Helipad landable (adds in Helipad objects as well[1])
Fixes ASB Centre helipad so that you can actually land on it
Creates NZBC (ASB Centre), NZJL (Auckland Hospital) and NZMB (Mechanics Bay) as 'airports' within FS2004. This means you can use them, like any other airport, as a starting point, in Navplanner/Map and/or in GPS etc.

What does this package require?

FS2004 - will not work with FSX
RealNZ Auckland City for FS2004 - well duh!
RBE Mesh - Can use Freeware 75m or Payware 20m
FinneyAir Chopper World - available at www.hovercontrol.com

cheers,
HCP[/quote]
Download for new FIX

this only will work for 2004

Have installed the finney chopper helipads and the Auckland Helipad fix but it doesn't fix this.

Well looks like the mesh levels are not right first of all to have them floating like that ,next to be sure you are using fs9 ? because none of the hardens work in FSX or finney pads ...
can you land on those floating pads ??
could just be mesh do you have 75 or 20 meter ?

more info better help so give us as much detail as you can plz

I am fairly sure I know what the problem is... did you adjust the Terrain_Max_Vertex_Level value in your fs9.cfg?

if this is not set correctly, the sim will not use the correct mesh. It should be set to 21 if you have the 20metre mesh... if you have the 75m mesh it should be at 19.
