Ok as promised a update review, i was a bit disappointed that the pro version doesn't include the -300 or the freighter, but they are cheap enough to purchase. it includes upto date Navdata and a collins weather radar (which i am still trying to find)

I won't go over what trolley has said, except yes it is taxing, especially with the VC and Cabin turned on, you can regain a good 5-10FPS by turning these off. This isn't a problem for me as i do almost all my flying from the 2D Cockpit.

onto the FMC, it is a full functioning FMC (within the limitations of FS) enabling you to set your flight plan, choose and load your sids and stars before you depart, or on the fly if you have a runway change on route, it also gives you optimum cruise and step climbs as you are on route to get optimum fuel burn. you have to set your take of weights and V speeds before departure.

THe autopilot is connected to the FMC, and will follow a Star or Sid as much as it can, so long as you haven't come in to high. it is a very good system, but i still like to do my landings myself. the autopilot can be set like a regular autopilot allowing you to control the speed, altitude and heading. but you do get teh best results by studying the manuals and using the FMC.

You can fly this A/C manually with ease, but it feels a little to responsive for something this big, but i did only fly it empty so that could be the reason why it was so responsive.
If you are familiar with the Level-D 767 you will be very familer with the cockpit layout, although i could not find the pedestal, anyone help me there???

i love the animations on this model, it really is the top of the 757's out there, i would recommend this to all those who love the heavies, i personally have and affliction for the ugly looking duckling as it looks un-boeing like in the nose. if you would like any further info let me know

Thanks for the review Jas, lots of extra info there.

Would be great to have a comparison of the Captainsim and PSS/Justflight 757's if anyone feels that way inclined... :)

i had the PSS 757 pro, took a hell of a long time to get it to work right, and a lot of extra installing on my part, was a nice model thou, lacked some of the finesse of the Capitan sim model. personal opinion though, also if you are wondering about the pedestal in the 2D cockpit, there will be on in the next service pack update
