Hi Folks,

Well after 3 weeks I finally have my new computer, I've got just one problem. I have a Geforce 8800GT 512M, I have downloaded the latest drivers from nvidia site, but I have awful jaggies and have put my AA settings from 4x right up to 16x with no difference in appearance.

Just wondering what drivers other's are using with these cards?

Gidday Chris, I run 2 XFX 8800GTX in 780 SLI - best driver I have found to date is 6.14.11.6376 from GOZ@www.Tweakforce.com. Make sure you set the settings through the nvidia control panel (Manage 3D settings window), select program settings MS 2004 and set Anisotropic filtering to 16x and turn off Antialiasing OFF. Turn on your Antialiasing ON in FS. The new driver is designed to run this way, it fixes the aircraft window box that some users had with previous nvidia cards. Other drivers that I found worked the other way where you select Antialiasing in Program settings but, were unstable and had bad graphics.

Im sure there are many other types of set ups, but this has been the best I've found to date.

Hi Chris,

Some of the latest nVidia Forceware settings are preset to not apply AA to FS. The way I solved my problem was to revert to older Forceware, and use the nHancer program. :)

Try some of the older drivers. A few of my mates in Oz have had that problem.

Ok folks I haven't had any luck as yet with getting rid of those dreaded jagged lines. I've tried a lot of different drivers however I can't use any of the 94.24 or earlier drivers because it's not recognised for my gfx and wont install. I've downloaded nHancer and the first time I used V2.3.2 the jaggies dissapered then I updated my gfx to the latest drivers and the problem arose again. From memory I've tried the following set's of drivers:

174 Beta, 175 Beta, 169xxx, I'm at a loss now of what to do because I never had a problem on my old system with jaggies. I went to tweakforce.com as another member suggested but couldn't locate the drivers he mentioned, I've also joined up on the Guru3d.com forums to get some answers but haven't really found anything helpful yet :P

Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what I could try? I also downloaded a utility called Driver Clean Pro which deletes any remaining driver data after you uninstall a set of drivers to install a later version, it basically just cleans out what's left over after the uninstall and that hasn't fixed anything either!

Help I'm desperate lol :D

Maybe try going back to some older Forceware Chris? Maybe something like this? No guarantees of course, since that forceware came out before your card was being produced, but if you are desperate it might be worth a shot. ;)

Tried installing the 93.21 drivers and it wouldn't allow it because they're too old for my card. In nHancer I have two FS profiles one is just called "MS Flight Simulator 2004" the other "MS Flight Simulator 2004 - Disabled predifined" and I can't delete that profile because it brings up some message relating to nvidia not allow the deletion of predifined profiles :P

Exactly, the new nVidia Forceware won't allow you to delete the standard profiles. And, the standard profiles are set only to enhance in-game AA (for FS anyway), of which there is none in FS. So you're stuck mostly...

Maybe get on the line to nVidia support?
