Help with SDK

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Hey all its been long time since ive been on here,
but im having trouble with SDK im trying to install the"object placement tool" ive followed all the instructions but it says to use i have to go to the "tools" section in FSX but i cant find the tools section.

Any would be kindly apreciated

There are two main reasons why this won't show up in your Tools menu.
First, an error in your XML file -- having the wrong path to your tools is a common error.
Secondly, not having the correct SDK version which matches your FSX version.

yeh but where is the "tools" section in FSX ive never seen it before.?

It won't show up if you don't have any tools (correctly) installed.

ok well ive got Acceleration so im updating the SDK aswell.
plus i put the "ddl" file in apllication data-microsoft-FSX ,is that right?
sorry about this, im a bit dumb when it comes to the tech side of FS :D

Take a look herefor some quite comprehensive installation instructions. Being a wiki, it's a bit technical, but see how you get on.
