I'll wait for the PC version. Never did grasp being able to use a controller with games where you need to aim.

Haven't been that big of a fan of GTA since Vice city.

Got it, playing it, loving it!!! a great game and worthy addition to the GTA franchise, was going to hold out for the PC version, but my phone number is on the back of the manual for all version's for those needing tech support and general help.... was playing the P3 version which looks a little better, but perfer the XB360 version as it has more in the way of online content.

How much bigger is the map area compared to San Andreas?

And are the original 3 islands from GTA3 Liberty City included, or is it a whole new world?

I've heard that it is the same size, but the entire thing is city rather than filling half of it up with Hicksville ;)
It is Liberty City still, but it is a lot bigger so probably a 'new' Liberty City.

I've heard it's slightly smaller than San andreas, but far more detailed and compact. Trying to figure out the best way to go about getting it, first decision is ps3 or 360... ps3 is more expensive but sounds better (blue-ray, more power..), x360 is cheaper but has problems (red ring of death)... anyway much saving to do, all the while paying to fly aeroplanes!

I'd go for a PS3 if I was getting either, supposed to be a great DVD player too? Also PS3 Means Gran Turismo 5 :P
What are prices for either of them at the moment?

You could hardly say that, it just came out earlier, the 360 is still pretty decent, but the PS3 is better.

Don't knock the "360" it has a much broader range of games than the P3 (I have a P3 and a Nintendo Wii) and for online play it can't really be beat (for a console) mind you the P3 does have Blu-Ray which is a biggie and a massive selling point.

GTA-4's map is smaller than San Andrea, but GTA-4 has a lot more going on and of course looks much better, don't think that they re did GTA3 with better graphics, as Liberty City looks nothing like Liberty City from GTA3.

Dude you forgot to mention the P3 is heavier, bulkier, hand controls feel like little plastic toys and makes more noise than any console and the heat coming off a P3 is staggering to say the least (still a nice machine and it has Blu-ray)
