I thought id start this thread in 'response' to P-12Cs blog post asking for opinons of FSX missions for future versions of the sim (if you would like to forward your views on for consideration go here: P12C Blog)

I thought generally the missions were well done except for one thing: The voice acting and scripts!

For a 'Simulation' the voices were very cheesy and there seemed to be an air of 'I dont really know what is going on' for both the voices of the pilots and the passengers. Adding to this was the pretty 'orrible attempt at Kiwi, Aussie, English and South African accents which resulted in a reduction in realism rather than a improvement.

So what do you think?

I've done all the missions except the antennae package(yeah the 2nd package is tricky picking up in the dark) I think most of them are quite well put together and its impressive seeing animated people walking or moving in some of them. The acting isn't too bad although I found with particularly the acceleration carrier ops missions they could have at least had more AI air traffic in the circuits and maybe ground crew as well. I've found the ATP and CPL packages quite good although its more difficult than the regular missions due to the tight limitations on the student and some of the instructions are quite vague and lack decent mission briefings. The races are quite good but the problem I have is the AI are very difficult to beat and you need a real good controller and high FPS to get anywhere with them. The MP racing missions are good but why on earth didn't they make the carrier MP compatible :arrr: and have at least 1 or 2 MP missions involving the carrier. In the FSX world there is AI carriers that sail from port to port on a weekly schedule and none of those are visible or functional in MP. Some good things are some of the easter eggs like for example the Beta tester patch and also the missions that have split paths and 2 endings that are possible adds more functionality to the missions and the patches add the desire to want to finish them. Only issue is why is the logbooks not visible in MP its such a cool feature in Janes F/A-18 and F4.

I like the missions, they get me doing things and trying aircraft that I wouldn't usually even think of attempting in my normal free flights. some of them are a good laugh too, like the resort supply with the f-18's flashing past.
