Yeah good stuff Daniel and Ashton. Quite a big flight in the end, enjoyed our conversations, throwing a few funny lines out, that was cool. Great to see fs9 and fsx together! Paul

I would be keen for a flight tonight, lets say up north starting from Kaitaia, heading up to 90 mile beach and stop on the beach for lunch then head of up to Cape reinga then back down the east coast land somewhere of you choice.

Just an idea. :D Come one come all, don't worry if you don't have enough expertise, its just flying and chatting or just flying if you wish.

Yeah i don't mind hosting at all. I'll fly till my right arm falls off. Just remember that there are issues sometimes with fs9 and fsx planes when it comes to downloading.

Are you flying in fsx yak52dude, i know that gojozoom is flying fs9. i myself am fsx.

New Zealand flight forum's own friday night flight B-)
Server: 203.114.130.15 fshost client
Password: none
Departure: Kaitaia-90 Mile beach-Cape Reinga-Kerikeri
Time: 8:30pm

I will take a DC-3 along as well! Sounds like we're gonna have a big ol' warbird flight tonight.

Just realised that i have to go and buy some jeans and connies tonight so if i've not started a server by 8:30 could someone host it.

Thanks, looking forward to a great night.

Come and join us, lets see how many DC-3's we can land on 90 mile beach! NZFF HOO HOO!

You don't have to ask me twice. I prepare a nice wine and some smooth jazz music in the background. I'll go with DC3 as well. To be honest i've never tried it seriously before, but why not.

By the way, I'm not sure if any of us have to host it at all. Yesterday we didn't do anything like that. Just joined the server and that's all. The only frustrating thing that we all have different sceneries installed so sometimes there are some elevation differences on the ground which makes you "float" above the ground from the others point of view but it's an acceptable bug.
I think we should all use the fs default DC3. this way all the planes will appear properly on the screen.

See you tonight, I look forward to take off again with some friendly kiwi simmers... :plane:

Yeah I might be able to come along, if I can pull myself away from the WoP bombers and the WW2 fighters I bought. I'll fly the DC-3 too!

RNZAF default dc-3 repaints for FS9 are arnzx_dak_32.zip (The current paint I think) at avsim and nzwb4pk.zip (Good old green D-day markings) over at flightsim.com if anyone needed them

Any special scenery we need? Just loaded up Kaitaia and noticed there's no parking, just 2 runways

Blenheim > Nelson > Wellington > New Plymouth

This was a great flight on Wednesday night. It was great to fly with you guys.

I had a problem with my keys and couldn't take any photos of us together. I think i may have pressed a wrong button when doing shift - z. I couldn't take photos , and when i tried to zoom in and out i would have another view pop up in my top left hand corner. i will work it out.

Kaitaia > Cape Reinga > Kerikeri

The highest northern island of New Zealand.

Off to Kerikeri

The money shot. Kiwibarguy, Ashton and peppermint. Thanks guys for the company.

Peppermint, it is a shame we can't talk. Most people get hooked up on Teamspeak and talk over their headsets. Let me know if you need a hand, it's pretty straight forward. It was great to see you there. Good on ya Ashton, see you soon.

Yeah it was a good flight, apart from the severe turbulence from about 3000ft up to about 12000. On the way back down from the Cape one of my engines decided to retire from service  ended up landing back at Kaitaia just as the 2nd engine decided to play sheep and follow engine one's footsteps. I got a few shots I might put up tomorrow.

Was wondering why it was a bit quiet, I'll have to buy a headset and get teamspeak.
