This is less of a video, than a sound bite.
Sound comes from the same place I got that brilliant Bell 206 sound.
It's also a bit long because I got carried away and couldn't bring myself to edit more stuff out  .
So just skip some bits, but don't miss the engine start somewhere in the middle, and also the flyby toward the end.

Looks like a great investment Charl- I've said it before, and I'll say it again, sound packages make all the difference between aircraft models. I'll record and upload a (sound) clip of the RealAir Spitfire engine and compare it to this later and see if there is a difference.

Two questions-
How do you stop the East end of the runway dissapearing beneath you at Wanaka?
And how do you get the Wozzastang to turn so sharply, did you mod the cfg to include a steerable tailwheel?

Most likely an AFCAD issue - make sure the same AFCAD exists in
\RealNZwanaka\Scenery\AF2_NZWF.bgl and
\World\scenery\AF2_NZWF.bgl
Search the FS9 folder for any others, and delete.
Wozzastang is stock, a touch of brake, together with a blip on the throttle and a smidgeon of rudder will turn it. ;)

Sound is very difficult to capture - I took a video clip at Masterton which I've just watched (and listened to carefully).
I was standing behind the P-51 on startup, so I thought it would be a great sound clip too.
But the dynamic range is so large, the limits of the mic are immediately reached.
All you hear above the wind roar is the prrrrrt of the prop, and hardly any engine noise.

Cheers- the afcad in the first directory was only 520 bytes, but the one in the second was 3.89KB, should they be the same of different?

My spitfire soundtrack is a work in progress, I just collaborated several different recordings into an MP3 and will upload it to photobucket or youtube tomorrow.

P.S. One more unrealted question-
Is it possible to have the Wozzastang flying in formation using the RM without its tip tanks? I always drop them before flight, but unless I use it as my lead aircraft in the recording, it keeps them on, which you never see with the real ZK-TAF...

Are you sure you have the 20m mesh vertex set properly? This was the cause of my runway end disappearing (and floating camper vans on the hill) I have had to reset mine a few times when I have installed different scenery.

Take the GNZLAP AFCAD and put it in both folders, remove all others.
Tanks...you'll have to trawl a bit, I saw something somewhere, but I think it was for the WOP P-51.

Am yet to test Wanaka, but will let you know if your fix works when I get around to it.

And now for the Mk XIV Griffon sound bite:

Cool!
Has RealAir written all over it, don't you love the way the airframe creaks when you wind it on!
Landing was a bit abrupt I though Trolly, your tailbone OK then?

Carrying on with the Merlin thought, (and the Mossie discussion elsewhere), wouldn't mind if my sim looked like this:

and if Merlins are really your thing, here's an Australian fella who's taken it to probably the limit:
