yea I was one of the 'lucky ones' you could say we did enjoy the time we had but with alot more people it would be alot more fun. Maybe we could try again next weekend or tomorrow and get those problems ironed out.
thanks

Howdy Nick,
it was the first time that I had done this with a flight simulator and it was lots of fun. I enjoyed the experience and it would be good if we could try this or something similar in the near future.

I have no trouble at all logging on and I checked my settings and all was well.

The race to Wellington was great, I don't know who won though, I was way at the back and came in last. :plane:

I also flew there earlier in the day and got to chat with a few others like Trolly.

I am looking forward to the next event. :D

Weird, not sure what has changed as it was going fine for most of the morning., and then I went and watched the footy, only just come back now, and the server was left alone. Trolly, we had problems last time with you connecting once we got people there, I think we're going to have to find another server, there must be something there, that my computer doesn't like.

I tried at about 3:30-4:00 a couple of times, everytime I clicked on 'join' FS froze. Seems weird because every other server I tried worked just fine.

The problems you are having are the same as you will have with inspire ,its not your server its the people that are connecting ,i was one of five that got connected yesterday after andys and others probs ,q300 also got connected after the mentions of problems ,
i recomend all of you only connect with the fshost client exe free download and not use fs2004 host to connect .. this i think mite help alot with getting you all on ok ...

I've got the server running again, overnight the machine rebooted itself. That was nice of it.

True true ,forget about that bit as for the other part with some not being able to connect to your server its them and not your server ,inspire would be no different if those same guys where on ..
it comes down to us all and our computers talking to each other ,they say port forwarding is a must but ive never done it and have joined up with heaps of mp servers with lots of people on so i would put it down to programs each maybe running that like to block others "maybe " this has been talked out alot over the 2 years ,nobody has come up with a clear enough answer yet ..
